Trade and Media Tastings

Taste Champagne Australia – Returning August 2021

We regret to advise that the escalating Coronavirus situation in Sydney forced us to postpone Taste Champagne Sydney from 2 August. We will advise a new date as soon as it is confirmed.

We are disappointed to also advise that current restrictions in Adelaide require us to postpone Taste Champagne Adelaide from 11 August. Again, we will advise a new date shortly.

The extended lockdown in Brisbane has also forced a postponement from 9 August. Stand by for a new date.

The closure of the Western Australian border makes it impossible for us to enter the state, thus Taste Champagne Perth has been postponed from 16 August. We will advise a new date shortly.

We will provide an update shortly on whether Taste Champagne Melbourne is able to proceed on August 23, according to the status of local restrictions and border closures.

Capacity limitations dictate numbers, hence trade passes for each venue are allocated on a first-in basis. Sydney and Adelaide guests have the choice of two sessions.

Registrations are now open.

Any queries please contact Jody Rolfe, Event Manager,

Taste Champagne is back! We are delighted to invite you to join us as we reignite Taste Champagne in 2021. Off the back of the growth of the champagne market in Australia over the past year, this is the ultimate opportunity to reconnect with champagne’s top houses and growers and all their new cuvées.

Over the past seven years, Taste Champagne has exploded into the biggest global champagne showcase. In 2019 we welcomed more than 4,000 trade, media, agents and public in London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. We are thrilled to announce that Taste Champagne is back in 2021!

Taste Champagne is a grand tasting in which guests are invited to stroll at their own pace between houses, growers and cooperatives. In 2021, Taste Champagne Australia is set to showcase 221 cuvées from 72 houses!

Coming your way in August 2021, Taste Champagne is hosted by Tyson Stelzer, International Wine & Spirit Communicator of the Year, in conjunction with BlackEvents.

Taste Champagne Trade & Media tastings are reserved exclusively for wine media, retail wine buyers and sommeliers.

If you are an exhibiting agent representing a champagne house at Taste Champagne, please don’t register here. Contact us to register as an agent.

It’s our great pleasure to invite you to join us in 2021 at the biggest global champagne showcase!

This event will assist me in making more champagne flow through my bars and restaurants.
Simon McCarthy, Owner, Clapham Junction Wine Bar

A great experience to try names I’d never tasted. I placed orders!
Ptor Gjestland, Director, The Wasabi Group

A unique opportunity to source some grower champagnes for our list.
Ian Urquhart, Wine Director, The Avoca Hotel

The selection of wines is always outstanding, with great knowledgeable people behind the stands. If you can’t find a great drink to enjoy or list for your venue, then you’re in the wrong room!
