Media and Trade Tastings

Taste Champagne is Australia’s most comprehensive annual champagne tasting event hosted by Tyson Stelzer, International Wine & Spirit Communicator of the Year, in conjunction with BlackEvents. Taste Champagne has been launched in response to a call from trade and media for an extensive, annual champagne tasting experience.

Champagne sales in Australia recorded the biggest increase in any single year in history in 2015, up by more than 1.5 million bottles, making Australia the fastest growing of Champagne’s top markets, reinforcing its position as the seventh largest champagne market in the world and the fifth largest per head of population.

It’s our great pleasure to invite you to join us to taste more than 160 cuvées from more than 50 champagne houses, growers and cooperatives at our biggest Taste Champagne series yet!

In its fourth year, Taste Champagne has established itself as the most important champagne showcase event series in the country.

Returning to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in August, this year we are thrilled to announce that Canberra and Perth will be joining the parade!

Sydney – Shangri-La Hotel – 1-5pm Monday 7th August 2017 – Registrations Closed

Canberra – Old Parliament House – 1-5pm Wednesday 9th August 2017 – Registrations Closed

Brisbane – Sofitel Brisbane Central – 1-5pm Monday 14th August 2017

Never before have I had the chance to look at so many of Champagne’s wines
from such a variety of producers all in one place at one time.

I went to Taste Champagne and listed many champagnes as a result.
Very valuable for wine trade, in particular sommeliers and wine buyers.
